Senior Digital Officer
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Digital Officer to support the development of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) websites and other digital environments. The role will lead the day to day monitoring and analysis of our digital platforms/customer behaviour, providing technical support and delivery of appropriate training to support business need.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in delivering IT systems development and technology projects, management skills, as well as a strategic mindset to lead the organisation into an increasingly digital future. Ability to manage stakeholders, both internally and externally, and confident in dealing with, and influencing, senior managers and directors, and producing clear and non‐technical advice on complex issues is also essential in this role.
You will have proven experience within digital marketing and communications, including communications project management and hold a degree in a relevant subject. You will also have experience in the use of web and social media technologies.

Interim Director of Strategic Transport
As our interim Director of Strategic Transport you will lead the work of the Transport team to evolve, prioritise and deliver our transport strategy for South Yorkshire and its individual transport modes. In the role you will be given the opportunity shape our shared transport future, combining matrix management alongside the need to fully embed performance-driven change.
The focus should be on action plans, delivery roadmaps and delivery. The region has a large number of existing strategies on transport and related areas, we now need to focus on identifying priorities and securing their delivery.
The role will also be expected to contribute to the redesign of the team for the medium to long-term, ensuring we have the required capacity and capability.
