South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard will face voters in two Mayor’s Question Time events this month. The first, at Sheffield’s Millennium Galleries on 16 November will give people the chance to question the Mayor on any subject.

There is also a special Mayor’s Question Time at Doncaster Racecourse on 18 November so residents can discuss Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

The Mayor’s Question Time events are held regularly across South Yorkshire. Questions have covered topics including cost of living, transport, environment, education, skills, jobs or what’s going on in our towns and cities.

The special Mayor’s Question Time in Doncaster event will be an opportunity for the community to speak to the Mayor after DSA saw its final passenger flights land last week.

South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard said: “I want to hear from the people of South Yorkshire about what matters to them the most, so I can see how I can help them with the power and resources I have. Many people are facing difficulties and they should not have to face these challenges alone. I would like local people to play a part in the decisions that will shape their future and the future of the region, and that is why we are encouraging as many as possible to attend the Question Time events.”

People from across South Yorkshire’s communities are invited to sign up for either of these events by visiting the website.

Anyone in South Yorkshire aged over 14 is invited to sign up to attend the Mayor’s Question Time events and submit their questions in advance.

There will be light refreshments and soft drinks available at the venue.

Registrations are now open.
