SOUTH YORKSHIRE BUS USERS REMINDED TO CHECK FOR JANUARY CHANGES

Changes to some bus services in South Yorkshire will take place from 28 January to improve reliability and access to employment and education, following customer requests.

Passengers are advised to check if their service has been affected on the Travel South Yorkshire website travelsouthyorkshire.com/servicechanges, at bus stops and in interchanges, on buses, or by calling Traveline 01709 51 51 51.

The changes include:

Sheffield: time adjustments on services SL1 and SL1a – from Middlewood to Stocksbridge - to tie in with the frequency change on Sheffield Supertram services. To improve punctuality, tram services will run every 12 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime and every 10 minutes in the morning and evening peaks.

Barnsley: Stagecoach services 6, 11 and 32 will operate every 12 minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, on Monday to Friday, due to reduced patronage. There will also be changes to the Barnsley – Grimethorpe corridor on Stagecoach services 26, 27, 27a, 27b, 28 and 29, to improve sustainability.

Doncaster: First services 76 and 76a will be replaced by extended services 15 and 15a to provide better cross-town links; First services 86 and 86a will start running 15 minutes earlier following a Doncaster Council request.

Rotherham: some journeys on TM Travel service 31 will be renumbered 31a and operate direct from Rotherham, Canklow and Brinsworth to Sheffield Business Park and the Advanced Manufacturing Park, due to a request from local businesses to improve access to employment and education.

Sheffield: Stagecoach services 2, 25, 52, 57, 70, 70a, 71, 72, 86, 88, 120, 201, 737, X17 and X65; First Services 3, 3a, 24, 36, 52a, 72, 73, 74, 74a, 95, 97, 120, 751, 779, 780, 781, 782, 785, X1, X5, X54, X55 and x78; and Yorkshire Tiger service 23a, TM Travel 31 and 31a services and Sheffield Community Transport service H1.

Barnsley: Stagecoach services 2, 23, 23a, 67, 93, 95, 208, 218, 221, 449, 540, X10, X20, X65; Yorkshire Tiger service 24; Waterson's services 36, 36a, 36b, 193; Arriva service 412 and Powell's Bus services 449, 540.

Doncaster: First Services 14, 19, 41a, 57, 58, 64, 81, 82, 84, 87, 204, 441, 482, X78; Stagecoach services 21, 70, 98, 208, 216, 226, 407, 540, 595, 737, X20; Arriva service 496 and Powell's Bus service 540.

Rotherham: Stagecoach services 2, 8, 8a, 9, 67, 208, 216, 218, 737, X20 and First services 23, 36, 52a, 72, 73, 73a, 74, 74a, X1, X5, X54, X55, X78.
