DONCASTER URBAN CENTRE - COLONNADES

The key towns and core city of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The SYMCA uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.

SYMCA support has provided a full refurbishment of office space, an upgraded retail area and better pedestrian access between the station, town centre and civic quarter.

This project, which is complete, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

This investment is expected to deliver 557 jobs.

SYMCA LGF allocation: £2,280,000
Total project cost: £3,330,000
