FORGE ISLAND ENABLING

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are delivering flood defence works at Forge Island to unlock employment and residential land. The town centre regeneration scheme will enable delivery of 140 residential units and a commercial development including a cinema, retail units and food & beverage (F&B) units. 

This project, which is currently in delivery, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

SYMCA LGF allocation: £1,300,000
Total project cost: £6,276,066
