DONCASTER URBAN CENTRE - MARKETS PHASE 1

The key towns and core city of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority region are undergoing a private sector led urban renaissance. The SYMCA uses its available capital funding to help unlock private sector investment including transport connectivity.

The rejuvenation of the markets is vital to the future economic vision for Doncaster. Phase 1 sees the relocation, conversion or refurbishment of important buildings and public realm. 

This project, which has completed, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

This investment is expected to deliver 599 jobs.
