BUS LANE REVIEW PROJECT CONSULTATION
Have your say on plans to improve bus service operation at a number of locations within Rotherham and Sheffield.
We are asking people to have their say on proposals to improve roads for public transport at five locations within Rotherham and one location in Sheffield.
Sheffield
- Broad Street
Rotherham
- A631 Bawtry Road
- A630 Doncaster Road
- A630 Whinney Hill
- A629 New Wortley Road
- College Road
We have selected the above locations because of issues with long journey times and poor bus service reliability. This is often due to general traffic queueing in peak times, and poor-quality bus priority facilities.
The proposed project will help improve reliability and reduce journey times for bus passengers, making it easier for people to travel for work and leisure.
A public consultation asking for people’s views on proposals for the project is running between Wednesday 10 December 2025 and Wednesday 21 January 2026.
