A61 ACTIVE TRAVEL

The projects include Active Travel activity, specifically for the provision of safe attractive walking and cycling route (circa 6km) to Barnsley town centre from Royston via Smithies. To include quiet streets, new crossings, short sections of cycle path and long section along old railway line.

TCF allocation: £4,636,850                                                                                                                                     
This project, which is currently in development, includes a contribution from the Government’s Transforming Cities Fund Tranche 2 resources.
