M1 JUNCTION 37 CLAYCLIFFE - PHASE 1

Investing in infrastructure, including highways is a key part of our efforts to unlock economic growth in the South Yorkshire region.
This project is currently in delivery. The project aims to provide additional capacity to allow additional development to come forward in the vicinity of Junction 37 of the M1 at Capital Park. The project aims to improve access to/from the M1 from Barnsley, relieve congestion in the immediate area and on the southbound exit from the M1 and alleviate air pollution.
This project, which is currently in delivery, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.

Total project cost: £4,352,138
