DONCASTER COLLEGES DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE

SYMCA funding is being provided to enhance the digital infrastructure of Doncaster College.

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated an expansion of the College’s digital strategy, and this scheme also aligns particularly well with the Renewal Action Plan (RAP) (PDF, 10Mb) due to the importance of digital to the inclusion and skills progression agenda.

The scheme will improve capability for students to enrol in College systems remotely, increase the range of online teaching and learning applications, improve on current telephone and video calling capabilities and enhance the internet connectivity.

The scheme will also include the purchase of laptops and portable internet devices for loan to technologically disadvantaged students, and the procurement of advanced equipment for staff to enable them to produce and deliver enriched, high-quality online learning experiences for students.
