Investing in infrastructure, including highways is a key part of our efforts to unlock economic growth in the South Yorkshire MCA.
This project is converting the existing dual two lane carriageway of the A630 between the Catcliffe Interchange and the M1 Motorway at Junction 33 into three lanes. Improvements will also be made to the Junction 33, specifically in relation to the motorway roundabout.
This project, which is currently in development, includes a contribution from the Government’s Local Growth Fund resources which is part of the Government’s continued investment in the Northern Powerhouse.
SYMCA LGF allocation: £42,260,000
Total project cost: £45,000,000
A full record of endorsements and approvals is held on file at South Yorkshire MCA offices.
