Calling Art and Design students in South Yorkshire

1. This is a competition which is open to anyone currently enrolled in a South Yorkshire school or college, studying a Level 3 Art or Design subject.
2. To enter this competition please forward your design for a card based on the theme ‘Christmas in South Yorkshire’ (photos, paintings, graphic design or other artforms welcome) and your name and address to: events@southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk 
3. All entries must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 20th November 2024.
4. One winner will receive an vouchers to the total of £250 to be spent on art supplies. No cash alternative will be provided.
5. Entries are restricted to students of any South Yorkshire school or college currently studying Art or Design BTech, or Art or Design A-level.
6. All entrants must be aged 16 or over and reside within South Yorkshire.  If you are under 18 years old, you represent and warrant to us by entering this competition that your parents/guardians have consented to your entry and to these terms and conditions, which they have read. Proof of age, identity and criteria for entry may be required.
7. Only one entry per person is permitted.
8. Immediate family members of any employee of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) are not eligible to enter.
9. The winner of the competition will be decided by the Mayor of South Yorkshire who will judge what he considers to be the best design of Christmas card received in accordance with these terms and conditions.
10. The winner will be announced in early December and the winner will be concurrently.
11. The winner must collect the prize from SYMCA Head Office within 10 days of notification otherwise the win is forfeited. In that case, the prize would revert to the entry judged next best by the mayor.  
12. The promoter is SYMCA and these terms and conditions are governed by English law.
13. The Mayor of South Yorkshire’s decision as judge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. The promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault.
15. By entering this competition you are agreeing to publication of your surname and school or college name, and for the mayor to use your design on his Christmas card. The design will also be published on our social media and other channels, and on our promotional materials should you be the winner.
16. The name of your school or college may be used in subsequent promotional materials so please make sure you have told your school or college you will be applying.
17. Entry into the competition will be deemed to constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.
