WORKWELL

WorkWell is a brand-new service for people and employers in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham or Sheffield. The service offers free support to help people find, stay and succeed in work.

SYMCA is leading this initiative, in partnership with South Yorkshire Housing Association, and working with partners in new and innovative ways to improve health and economic outcomes across South Yorkshire.

The service will work with people living with disabilities and/or health conditions to access the support they need to flourish in employment.

It builds on the successes of our flagship programme, Working Win, which has supported over 6,500 people with a disability or physical and or mental health condition to either start, stay, or succeed in employment since 2018.

WorkWell offers a tailored, early-intervention, work and health support and assessment service, and a single, joined-up gateway to other support services. We also help local employers to create healthy workplaces where their teams can thrive.

This service is delivered in partnership with South Yorkshire Housing Association on behalf of the UK Government’s Department for Work and Pensions and Department for Health and Social Care and enables a wide range of local organisations to connect individuals to the support they need, these include:

• Primary Care services
• Jobcentre Plus
• Local Authorities
• Employers
• Voluntary Community Sector
